Southern California Wildfire Relief: Housing Assistance Grants Available

If you or someone you know has been affected by the January 2025 Southern California wildfires, financial assistance is available through the REALTORS® Relief Foundation (RRF). A $1 million donation has made it possible for the California Association of REALTORS® (C.A.R.) to offer grants of up to $1,000 per household to help with housing-related expenses.

Who Can Apply?

This program is open to full-time residents who meet the following criteria:

✔ U.S. citizens or legally admitted residents

✔ Experienced displacement or damage to their primary residence due to the wildfires.

What Does the Grant Cover?

Eligible applicants may receive financial assistance for one of the following:

🏡 Mortgage Payment Assistance – If your primary residence was damaged

🏠 Rental Assistance – If you need temporary housing

🏨 Hotel Reimbursement – If you incurred lodging costs due to displacement

⛔ This grant does NOT cover expenses like home equity loans, appliances, clothing, or vehicles.

How to Apply

📝 Complete the online application

📄 Submit required documents to verify wildfire-related displacement or damage

⏳ Applications are processed on a first-come, first-served basis until funds run out

📅 Deadline to apply: April 30, 2025
